Our Story....

The Bride -

Ashley Elizabeth O'Reilly was born and raised by Phillip and Susan O'Reilly on January 16, 1987 in Smithville, Missouri.  The youngest of two, Ashley's brother Jonathan and his new bride Christie live just a short distance from Ashley in the Kansas City Northland and continue to have a very close relationship.  Ashley's father and Pastor of the Rock of KC, Phillip, and mother, Susan, recently welcomed a standing room only crowd of 750+ persons to the opening of their new church building near the Kansas City International Airport.  Ashley will graduate early from Park University with a public relations degree and looks forward to pursuing her interests in public communications and fashion upon graduating with honors.  The passion and love for her community and church serves Ashley very well in her future endeavors.  Ashley feels fortunate to share with Kenneth the love of God and family which she holds at the center of their lives together.

First meet:

Upon a chance meeting on June 17, 2007 at a local Italian restaurant Kenneth was introduced to Ashley through their friend Scott Schirmer and Amy Middleton.  A brief encounter of less than a minute had implications for a lifetime.  Both left that conversation excited, intimidated, and in wonder.  A month of phone calls and text messages later culminated in their first date on August 25, 2007.

First Date:

A very nervous Kenneth invited Ashley to join him at Dave and Busters for dinner and games.  Three hours of Elvis Presley coin games and Pop-a-Shot basketball ended up being the perfect date to the beginning of a match made in heaven relationship.

First Kiss:

On the morning of August 28th, 2007 Kenneth was leaving for a trip to North Carolina whereupon his departure was surprisingly met by a fairytale sunrise kiss by Ashley Elizabeth O'Reilly.  Needless to say Kenneth was so enamored by this kiss he could barely bring himself to get on the airplane.

Wedding vision:

Destination weddings are of an intimate nature which is hard to forget.  Sanibel Island, Florida is the ideal setting for an October wedding on the beach.  Roughly forty family members and friends will join in this magical moment to share before God the joining of Kenneth and Ashley's eternal love for one another.  A live broadcast through this website will amplify this wondrous occasion to friends and family who could not make the trip to the sunshine state.

Honeymoon plans:

Serenity, sunshine, and simplicity are words which embody the honeymoon which Kenneth and Ashley look forward to having together.  They will journey to Las Ventanas, San Jose Del Cabo, the number one rated resort in North America, on October 11th, following their Kansas City wedding reception at the National Golf Club on the evening previous.  Any resort which bans cellular phones at poolside and at the beach must be a slice of heaven on earth.  With a rooftop room with a telescope view to the stars, Kenneth and Ashley are excited to share moments of love and intimacy together while at the same time doing something they haven't been able to do since their engagement....absolutely nothing!

Proposal:  Video and Description below...

"A New York Engagement"  May 24th, 2008  Kenneth brought Ashley along with him for a business trip to New York.  Upon arrival to the big apple and the London NYC hotel, this trip would be everything but "business".  Nervous with anticipation, Kenneth rushed Ashley to Central Park for a dinner and boat ride at the Boathouse restaurant.  A short ride upon a gondola to the middle of the central park lake prompted Kenneth to try and keep his balance and his wits while kneeling to ask Ashley Elizabeth O'Reilly for her beautiful hand in marriage.  All the while a photographer had been photographing the entire proposal from the shoreline and bridge overlooking the lake.  "Joe" the photographer then took some candid shots along New York's various scenic areas such as the pier, Brooklyn bridge, and of course central park.  New York opened itself up to the newly engaged couple with beautiful weather, a walk along time square, a show on Broadway, and a fantastic lunch the next day at the Brooklyn cafe.
